The Finance function at Everest is expanding to build a strongfoundation to support significant growth of the InternationalInsurance business. Reporting to the International Head of FP&Awhilst; working very closely with the Regional Head of Finance for Latin America, the Latin America FP&A; Manager will partner withkey stakeholders across the business and other functions. They willtake a lead role in delivering the full underwriting P&L; forthe countries and products within the Latin America region, anddriving the annual planning and forecasting cycle as well as thequarterly close process, whilst helping to implement and maintainscalable analysis to support business growth, driving efficiencyand automation. The candidate will have a mindset focused onsystems, processes, and data, as there will be a strong focus oncontinually developing MI to improve forecasting, planning, andactuals variance analysis. Key responsibilities: Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to: - Leading the delivery of the plan,forecast, and close processes for the full underwriting P&L;,ensuring alignment between internal planning processes andregulatory submissions. - Leading and developing the Latin AmericaFP&A; team, mentoring junior FP&A; employees. - Productionand presentation of quarterly results packs to stakeholders acrossthe region (functions & underwriting teams). - Partnering withcost center owners to proactively manage operating expenses,overseeing production of monthly OpEx packs for all cost centerowners, and maintaining the staff cost expense tracker for use inOpEx forecasting. - Identifying variances against plan andforecast, ensuring they are investigated, understood, and resolvedwhere necessary. - Generating variance analysis reports, andleading efforts to develop robust financial performance modelling,including the enhancement of Anaplan (planning and forecastingtool). - Escalating any financial issues to management and otherrequired stakeholders. - Setting and monitoring KPIs and businessobjectives, whilst helping to recommend and deploy strategies forimproving underwriting results. - Developing MI and commentary formanagement by country, product, and function. - Supporting thebusiness to understand the financial implications of theirdecisions, and drive both strategic and tactical thinking. -Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships withstakeholders across the organization. - Contributing to ad hocfinancial projects as required as part of the overall financefunction. Qualifications, Education & Experience: - Abachelor’s degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Accountancy ispreferred, although candidates possessing a degree or qualificationin a related or analytical discipline will be considered. - Aprofessional accounting qualification is required. - A minimum of 5years experience of financial planning and analysis in an insuranceorganization in Latin America is required. Knowledge, Skills &Competences;: - Strong organizational skills and the ability toeffectively manage time and meet deadlines. - Strong track recordof managerial experience. - Ability to multitask and operateefficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and dynamicenvironment. - Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in MicrosoftExcel and PowerPoint. - Experiencing using Anaplan or similarplanning/forecasting model would be advantageous. - Stronganalytical, problem solving, and technical skills. - Effectivestakeholder management and business partnering skills toeffectively execute plans and implement strategies. - Effectivenegotiation skills with the ability to find “win-win” solutions. -Self-starter, capable of working both independently and within ateam environment. - Strong interpersonal skills, with excellentoral and written communication skills. - Ability to understand andensure compliance with all internal and external management andregulatory controls. - Good understanding of insurance industry andspecific product portfolios to positively impact the underwritingbusiness.
