As a seasoned expert, you will leverage your technical prowess to partner with our sales teams and lead consultative discovery processes. Your role will be to craft compelling solutions that address customer needs and develop implementation plans that drive long-term results. You will focus on our dynamic optimization solution, working closely with customers to understand their challenges and drivers. You will need to develop a vision and roadmap for an implementation, create business cases to secure investment, and support the direct sales force in demonstrating experience with process refinement and optimization technology. Key Responsibilities - Develop Industry-Specific Solutions: Lead value discovery sessions, assess customer needs, and develop tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements. - Presentation and Demonstration: Understand prospective clients' critical business issues and present AspenTech's software capabilities as optimal solutions. - Solution Development: Build client-specific solutions on the AspenTech platform using all available tools. - Recommendations and Proposals: Develop recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for consulting engagements, identifying dependencies & gaps. - Credible Value Propositions: Advise customers on relevant AspenTech solutions, establishing credible value propositions. - Sales Campaigns: Develop and execute sales campaigns and plans with sales teams. - Business Opportunities: Identify and qualify business opportunities, address key technical challenges, and develop solutions that meet business needs. This is a customer-facing role requiring individuals with excellent business, industry, and technical knowledge, along with strong consultative and communication skills to position AspenTech solutions effectively. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. - 5+ years of experience with process models for refining units, including refining simulation or refining APC experience with optimizing APCs like DMCplus / DMC3. - Strong understanding of refining economics and ability to communicate with clients about their refineries and work processes. - Desirable experience in consulting, pre-sales, or professional services roles. - Balance of business and technology acumen, with ability to articulate high-level technical solutions and their value. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to derive insights from customer data and interviews. - Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
