Overview of the Role The Solution Engineer is a critical role that involves presenting product offerings and architecture to prospects and customers, evoking confidence in Salesforce's technology infrastructure, and removing technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate solutions that address these requirements and provide business value. - Understand customer needs and establish Salesforce's product as the best solution to solve customer challenges. - Build and present customized demos of Salesforce products. - Convey deep knowledge of customer technology as it pertains to Salesforce's solutions. - Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain knowledge necessary to be effective in the position. - Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management. - Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region. Responsibilities The Solution Engineer will be responsible for: - Soliciting business requirements from customers and developing a technical sales strategy. - Configuring and demonstrating Salesforce solutions to address customer requirements and provide business value. - Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their technology infrastructure. - Participating in training and certification programs to stay up-to-date with Salesforce products and services. - Meeting quarterly and annual objectives set by management. Requirements To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess: - Experience in Solution Engineer/Pre-sales Engineer/Customer Success or similar role. - Solid presentation and communication skills. - Established and experienced pre-sales professional, ideally previous experience as a Sales Engineer for a CRM/AI company or similar technology. - Knowledge of related applications, relational database, and web technology. - Knowledge of cloud technology. - Able to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments. - Able to build impactful assets, demonstrations, prototypes. - Skills and track record on project delivery in a customer environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in AI, automation, Generative AI Strategy, and LLM-based Autonomous Agents would be beneficial. Additionally, Salesforce Certifications and basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies would be advantageous.
