Title: Officer, Corporate Credit Services - GWORequisition ID: 214125 We are committed to investing in ouremployees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaGBS.Purpose Contribute to the success of the Corporate Credit ServicesTeam by performing various loan servicing functions. Keyresponsibilities include triaging emails, reviewing loaninstructions, processing credit documents, validating lendingcalculations, and maintaining accurate balances in our enterprisebook of record ensuring compliance with credit authorizations andlimits. The Officer will also participate in exception managementby identifying and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, the Officer may also contribute to operational reporting and qualitycontrol efforts, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to regulatoryand financial standards. Accountabilities - Assist in managingactivities related to the loan and Letter of Credit lifecycle,including document review, initial funding, drawdowns, paydowns,rollovers, rate changes, amendments, and loan maturities. - Supportthe administration of instructions from agents on participationsand direct deals, verifying limit availability and accuracy ofcalculations during fund disbursement. - Contribute to thecoordination of internal funding requirements to support daily loanservicing activities. - Participate in executing and reconcilingloan payment transactions. - Support the timely processing andresolution of past dues and management of exception items inaccordance with team's SLAs. - Classify and archive emails in Outlook promptly. - Monitor case creation in Arteria for correctclassification and assist in reconciliation reporting to ensuresynchronization between systems. - Contribute to the production ofdaily operational reports using Microsoft Excel and Power BI. -Assist in implementing a quality control program for CCS operationsby reviewing documentation accuracy and maintaining a QC database. - Participate in regular process reviews for optimizationopportunities. - Contribute to a high-performance team environment. - Champions a client-driven culture to deepen client relationshipsand leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. -Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevantproducts, processes, and policies, including completing internaltraining, and reviewing appropriate news items and publications. -Participates as an active partner, and initiates changes bycollaborating with stakeholders and business lines to resolveissues, remove roadblocks, reduce costs, and improve services. -Responds promptly and effectively to service inquiries, concerns,and complaints from Banking partners, with the ability to: -Resolve day-to-day servicing issues and reduce business and clientimpact with managerial direction as required. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered inday-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effectiveand efficient operations of his/her respective areas, whileensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-daybusiness controls to meet obligations with respect to operationalrisk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk,including but not limited to responsibilities under the OperationalRisk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk ManagementFramework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Scotiabank Code of Conduct. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributesto an inclusive work environment. - Perform other related duties asassigned. Dimensions - Operates independently to execute thefulfillment and maintenance of lending products within assignedauthorities/limits. - Reviews and processes high volumes of dailytransactions originated by customers, management, or a B/F systemas they relate to the maintenance activities of Commercial and Small Business clients (i.e., pricing, retro adjustments, specialarrangements, standby fees, etc.) - Processing for deals (size andrespective limits will vary subjected to segment and tasks). -Investigate all adjustments & corrections ensuring entries areprepared accurately and processes with the appropriate level ofapproval. - Taking responsibility for client and partner inquiries,concerns, or complaints and presenting solutions or alternatives. -Business Units supported include but not limited to: Global Banking& Markets. - Provides national coverage between the hours ofoperation (7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time). Shifts may vary. - Participates in the implementation of efficiency-focusedimprovements to operating procedures and/or systems to meet Bankregulations by participating in pilots and “test & learn” asrequired. - Participates in cross-training to broaden skillsetsacross different areas. Education / Experience - Post-SecondaryEducation and a minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in Financial Services or related industry. - Fluency in English(written & verbal) and Organizational Skills. - Workingknowledge of lending products, services, and procedures. - Provencustomer service skills, as well as flexibility to adapt tochanging environments. - Thorough knowledge of the Bank’stransactional services. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, and Outlook).
