We’re looking for dynamic, positive, and creative people with a team centric mindset to join our team. **The Role**: The **Financial Analyst - Risk Finance **will have primary responsibility for financial support of the functional Risk Team (Grain Merchants) and the Sales Team of Ardent Mills. Responsibilities include financial and management reporting via accurate weekly forecasts and month-end close activities, establishing and monitoring effective business/process controls, weekly reporting of FX hedging activities, supporting internal and external audits for the Risk Finance space, continuous improvement initiatives, and ad-hoc project work. This position will be a key role for the Ardent Mills Risk Finance team. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Risk Finance / GST and has direct accountability to Risk Team and Sales Team. **Key Accountabilities**: - Provide the Risk Team, Sales Team, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance Team financial support at the corporate and plant level. - Weekly grain P&L; forecasting and analysis. - Weekly or ad-hoc FX hedging reporting. - Month-end accounting close activities and analysis of business performance. - Contract valuations, derivative analysis, hedge accounting, GAAP accounting etc. - Implement and maintain adequate and effective internal controls across the business processes including managing accounting policies and procedures. - Drive systematic improvements in ERPs around position management. Work with the Risk Team, Sales Team, and the Risk Oversight Committee to drive accurate, consistent, and streamlined position reporting. - Support Annual Operating Plan for the Risk space. - Complete other projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned. - Demonstrate effective communication skills with key stakeholders, including Company’s senior management team. - Operate with simplicity, clarity, and transparency while demonstrating understanding, respect, and care for others. - Occasional, mínimal, travel may be necessary. Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities and reliability, integrity, and compliance in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. **Skills & Experience**: - 3+ years in accounting or finance position with focus on complex transactions. - Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or accounting required. - Must be comfortable handling and analyzing sizable general ledger activity and draw conclusions from it. Turn data into actionable information. - Advanced understanding of financial statements such as the balance sheet, cash flow statement, and P&L;) - Understanding of mark-to-market (MTM) accounting preferred, but not required. - Strategic thinker. - Possess a go-get attitude, lightheartedness, business owner mindset, and appreciation for daily intricacies of life and work. - Budgeting and Forecasting experience. - Advanced knowledge of ERPs, implementing process improvements, and driving out inefficiencies. - Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls and effective policies. - Demonstrated capability to collaborate and execute cross functionally. - Ability to work on multiple, complex projects, simultaneously and see them to completion with limited supervision. - Excellent communication (both written and verbal), presentation and influencing skills. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills with **impeccable attention to detail **. - Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. **Other Considerations**: **EEO Commitment** Ardent Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
