We are seeking a Data Strategist focused on Data Governance to oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks for our clients. This role involves working closely with organizations to ensure they meet regulatory requirements, establish data quality standards, and promote data stewardship across their operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies, along with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities: Data Governance Framework Development: Design and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to client needs, encompassing data quality, privacy, security, compliance, and stewardship. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including data owners, IT, and business units, to establish data governance policies and procedures. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards by conducting regular audits and assessments. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data governance awareness and literacy among client staff. Performance Metrics: Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and report findings to stakeholders. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance policies, procedures, and standards. Interpreting: A smart strategist knows how to read people's behaviors and responses to figure out what to do next. Requirements for this challenge: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Solid experience in data governance and data management. Experience working with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies such as Unity Catalog, Purview and/or Alation. Fluency in English Communication. Nice to Have: Certifications in Data Governance or related areas. Experience in project management and change management methodologies.
