Our "make healthcare more human" mission is the heartbeat of our company. Behind it are 2,700+ people who are building a company where we can all grow and be challenged. Job Description Doctoralia is making a major strategic investment in building our next-generation Practice Management Systems (PMS) for Colombia as a primary focus market. We are forming a foundational team dedicated to the generation and integration of PMS platforms that solve the biggest challenges for today's healthcare providers. As a foundational Full Stack Developer in Colombia, you will be at the heart of this initiative. Reporting to our technical leadership in Spain, you will be a primary owner of the Colombian version of our PMS solutions. Your main challenge will be to build and integrate complex features for Colombian health and financial regulations, ensuring our products are powerful, compliant, and seamlessly connected to the broader Doctoralia ecosystem. To guarantee your success and deep integration with our global standards, you will begin your journey with an immersive 3-month onboarding and training program at our offices in Spain, with all costs covered. This will provide you with a deep understanding of our core technology and allow you to build strong relationships with the global team before returning to Colombia to work remotely. What you will do: - Develop and own the features for Colombian regulatory compliance, focusing on RIPS (Health Service Records) and FEV (Electronic Invoicing) generation and validation. - Write clean, scalable, and well-tested PHP code within our Symfony-based backend, and contribute to our React-based frontend where necessary. - Collaborate intensely with your fellow Colombian developer and the core team in Spain to design, build, and deploy high-quality software. - Develop and consume APIs to integrate Clinic Cloud with the main Doctoralia marketplace and local third-party services like payment gateways. - Take ownership of the full product development lifecycle, from analyzing technical requirements and sprint planning to testing, deployment, and post-launch support. - Create and maintain technical documentation for the specific localizations and integrations you build. Qualifications - 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Backend developer, with a strong emphasis on PHP. - Solid experience with modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony or similar (e.g., Laravel). - Strong knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, including schema design and writing efficient queries. - Familiarity with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and a willingness to work with our React frontend. - Proven experience with API integration (REST, webhooks). Previous experience with complex government or financial APIs is a major plus. - Availability and willingness to travel and work from Spain for an initial 3-month onboarding period is a mandatory requirement for this role. - Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory for effective communication between the Colombian and Spanish teams. - A pragmatic, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment. Additional Information - A competitive salary and benefits package. - A Share options plan after 6 months of working with us. - Comprehensive private health insurance. - An immersive 3-month onboarding experience in Spain, with all travel and accommodation costs covered, to get you started on the right foot. - 23 days of holiday per year, plus local public holidays. - Flexible working hours and a remote-first culture within Colombia (after the initial onboarding period). - Access to hundreds of training courses on an online platform to support your growth. - The opportunity to be a foundational member of a high-priority, strategic project with significant career impact.
