Position Summary The Latam Digital Lending and Risk Management Director reports to the Regional Program Manager, with a dotted line to the Vice President of Advanced Analytics and Risk. Responsibilities include designing credit risk products, developing credit performance analytics, and creating decision tools based on machine learning and AI in Latin America. The role promotes partnerships with FSPs, digital platforms, Fintechs, and data providers to scale digital financial products. As the Regional Lead for Advanced Analytics and Risk (AAR), this position will represent AAR regionally, guiding digital strategies, leading innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to Advisory Standards of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in data analytics and risk management, with experience across models in e-commerce, gig economy, supply chain, and FMCG sectors. This position can be based in Mexico or Bogotá. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Position Responsibilities Advanced Analytics & Risk Design and implement strategies using Machine Learning and AI for risk management and decision tools. Develop risk management standards and credit policies for the digital credit cycle. Create segmentation tools for profitability and risk assessment. Partner with financial entities for portfolio evaluation and risk mitigation. Implement risk and profitability models, forging strategic partnerships to support growth. Provide partners with tools to manage delinquencies and minimize losses; guide collection strategies. Project Management Lead projects from proposal to execution, ensuring alignment with partner teams and boards. Engage with senior managers to develop business strategies and projects. Build stakeholder relationships through proactive communication. Create frameworks for embedded finance platforms. Ensure effective integration of project changes into business operations. Prepare reports, share insights, and manage external vendors and budgets. Regional Lead for Advanced Analytics and Risk Represent and communicate the value of AAR services within Accion. Contribute to strategy, operations, and market positioning of AAR. Disseminate project results and practical tools via various knowledge-sharing platforms. Collaborate on product development, providing risk guidance and best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert in digital credit and embedded finance. Qualifications 12+ years in management consulting, leadership, or related fields. Experience in MSE-focused technology businesses, Fintech, or financial services. MBA, Master’s, or equivalent experience. Expertise in statistical modeling, credit risk, data mining, and finance. Knowledge of portfolio risk, operational risks, and digital lending best practices. Experience in digital banking architectures, project management, and product development. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish. Passion for social impact and technology-driven business models. Travel Requirement Willingness to travel regionally and internationally 30-40%.
