You will be asked to take technical lead on various aspects of design, development and mentoring of resources while working with architects, developers, key business stakeholders, various technical support teams across the Bank, regulatory and compliance groups, and senior leadership. **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Effective design, development, integration, testing and implementation of complex business requirements - Technical Leadership, Cross Lab Coordination, Production Support and Release Implementation Support - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporate into in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Education / Experience / Other Information** **Skill set for the role** - 3 or more years of iOS development with Swift 5+ - Deep knowledge of iOS design best practices and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. Willing and able to provide designers with constructive feedback - Experience with TDD - Experience in integrating Third Party libraries and SDKs with Swift Package Manager - Competent in software engineering and computer science principles, such as SOLID - Comfortable working on a large-scale product as part of a large and complex enterprise, with both new technologies and building on top of legacy systems. - Experience and expertise in all phases of the software development life cycle - Very good understanding of current IT practices and software development methodologies such as Scrum and Agile - SDUI **Soft Skills**: - Hit the ground running - Strong communication skills (written & verbal), interacting with Product, Design and Back-end Teams - Sense of urgency - Proactivity - Communication skills - Removal of impediments - Innovation - Solution of unknown problems - High accountability - Advanced English **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
