Cybersecurity Analyst Role at Scotiabank About the Role: As a Cybersecurity Analyst on our Security Platforms Engineering team, you will contribute to the overall success of the Onboarding and Delivery Team in Canada and globally. Your primary goal is to ensure specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. - Collaborate with a team of security professionals and across the organization in matters of security, logging, and custody of security events and troubleshooting. - Respond to incidents; resolve, triage, or escalate as appropriate to meet and exceed SLA metrics. - Support and maintain key production systems, ensuring 7/24 availability. - Document and keep comprehensive records of log sources, configurations, analysis procedures, troubleshooting, and incident reports. - Provide input to management reporting including executive summaries, condition status reporting, statistics, and action item tracking. Requirements: - University degree or college diploma in a computer-related discipline. - Familiarity with various Operating systems such as (Linux, Windows, AIX, AS400, etc.). - Familiarity with the specific cloud platforms the organization uses (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their logging and monitoring services. - Understanding of network protocols and the ability to analyze network logs, such as firewall, IDS/IPS, and DNS logs. OSI Model knowledge. Desirable Knowledge: - Scripting and Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate log parsing, analysis, and response activities. - Data Analytics: Familiarity with analytics tools such as PowerBI, Looker, Anaconda. Working Conditions: - Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. - Will work remotely and not have to travel.
