**Job Title: Employment Law - Case Manager** **Location: Remote** **Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)** **Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM** ## Overview: We are a dynamic Legal Staffing Company and our client is a Law practice dedicated to advocating for employees and small businesses in employment disputes, as well as assisting criminal defendants in traffic court and misdemeanors. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Virtual Case Manager to join our team. This role involves significant interaction with clients to ensure they feel consistently supported and valued throughout the resolution of their legal issues. ## Responsibilities: - Manage a caseload involving unemployment benefits appeals, discrimination lawsuits, separation agreement negotiations, contract negotiations, fraud cases, medical leave/disability discrimination, and traffic-related cases. - Regularly communicate with clients via phone and Zoom to update them on case progress and gather necessary information. - Coordinate and schedule client meetings, court dates, and other relevant appointments. - Prepare and organize case files and documents for attorney review. - Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence. - Follow up on leads and manage client communication in collaboration with other team members. - Ensure all case activities are logged accurately and timely in the case management system. - Provide empathetic, timely, and effective communication to clients to ensure they feel informed and supported. - Assist the attorney in managing deadlines and ensuring that all case activities proceed according to schedule. ## Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Case Manager or similar role, preferably in a legal environment. - Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to the practice areas mentioned. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals. - Proficiency in using legal case management software, as well as standard office software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. - Paralegal certification or relevant legal education is preferred. ## Benefits: - Competitive salary - Flexible work environment - Opportunity to work on a wide range of cases - Supportive team culture
