Accountabilities -Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their teamto deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bankrelationships, systems and knowledge. - Lead the application ofcomplex data analytics techniques, data mining and machineintelligence to implement and enhance fraud mitigationcapabilities, and deliver IB Fraud Analytics Architecture. - Leadthe innovative fraud Proof-of-Concepts, and provide support onongoing assessment of the fraud threat landscape and anticipationof risks and corresponding improvement of our strategies andcapabilities. - Provide guidance and train the local teams onanalytics best practice for fraud strategy improvement. - Assessexisting analytics functions/tools and investigate newopportunities to develop new and enhance existing fraud detectioncapabilities utilizing Artificial Intelligence (eg. MachineLearning) and advanced statistical methodologies/modelling. -Provide subject expertise and thought leadership on key businessinitiatives where there is a dependence on the machinelearning/cognitive computing technology. - Explore a variety ofmachine learning, statistical analytics and data mining techniqueswith the objective of improving our fraud strategy predictioncapability. - Contribute to the mitigation of fraud risk byleveraging machine learning and business expertise to advise thesenior leadership. - Maintain effective dialogue with internaltechnology and business partners on development, delivery, risk andtrends. - Utilize potentially silo-ed, irregular, and unstructuredand external data and data warehouses to enable a consolidated viewof information and drive behavior and predictive analytics. -Support to create and manage the analytics strategic roadmap,including the introduction of machine learning, statisticalmodelling and other capabilities that will deliver meaningful dataanalysis and scoring. - Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends andevolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impact to thebank. - Support the design and implementation of the overall fraudmanagement strategic roadmap and future initiatives. - Manage thefraud model governance and model performance monitoring. -Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should beconsidered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Creates anenvironment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficientoperations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring theadequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day businesscontrols to meet obligations with respect to operational risk,regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk,including but not limited to responsibilities under the OperationalRisk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk ManagementFramework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for BusinessConduct. - Builds a high performance environment and implements apeople strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivatestheir team by fostering an inclusive work environment;communicating vison/values/business strategy and managingsuccession and development planning for the team. Dimensions -People Manager - Span of control will include the IB Advanced FraudAnalytics (+5 FTE) - International Banking responsibility with allIB business units supported - Be responsible for IB fraud losses -Support Fraud technology roadmap and analytics tools (+/ - 10 mainsystems) - Lead the innovative fraud Proof-of-Concepts, supportongoing assessment of the fraud threat landscape and anticipationof risks and corresponding improvement of our strategies andcapabilities - Global Regulatory requirements around data andprivacy Education / Experience - Post-secondary degree in relevantSTEM discipline (Computer Science, Electrical/Computer/SoftwareEngineering, and Statistics/Mathematics) and/or 2+ years similarhands-on experience mandatory - Specific bank and/or industryexperience around Fraud models, advanced mathematics, machinelearning, artificial intelligence - Understanding Bankingsystem/processes and general payments echo system - Bilingualfluency in both English and Spanish is required - Prior experience(at least 5 years) in fraud/risk related fields would be an asset -Previous experience working as a people manager is required - Mustbe self-motivated, energetic and results-oriented and be committedto adding value to the organization - In addition, the ideacandidate would possess: - Creative, out-of-the-box thinker, stronganalytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal, writtenand presentation skills - Excellent organizational and leadershipskills - Highly flexible and able to adapt quickly to changingpriorities - Experience with Fraud prevention and strategies is anasset #Li-Hybrid Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaGBSis a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia createdto support different processes of the Bank and the development andexecution of its global services.
