Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Service Agent to join our team at FedEx in Bogotá, Colombia. Key Responsibilities: - Execute administrative activities related to customs and international packages, including contact with internal and external customers. - Review daily information regarding delivery system exceptions and changes, station operations, service capabilities, volume, and other related topics to ensure accurate, consistent, and current information is provided to customers at all times. - Provide current package status updates and basic tracking activities by monitoring shipment movement and interpreting global tracking updates from 1Source (FedEx CRM). - Initiate collections, supply deliveries, shipment research, rate quotes, and exception requests online using 1Source. - Assist customers with preparation of shipping documentation, including international regulatory information assistance, shipping request preparation, and special notification related to worldwide pickup and delivery. - Proactively provide customer service using FedEx phraseology to produce 100% customer satisfaction at the end of every transaction. - Determine the existence of service failures and request refunds within established limits. - Answer call center customer inquiries regarding all service features, delivery, and pickup operational procedures, release, and payment processes, ensuring maximum sensitivity and responsiveness to customer needs, questions, and requirements. - Recognize new customers or additional business opportunities, open new accounts, obtain additional shipments, and send sales leads. Requirements: - High School Diploma. - Proficiency in English. - Two years of experience in international customs freight/cargo policies, procedures, rules, and laws. - Written and verbal communication skills. - General office skills and computer knowledge. - English for Customs area required – Intermediate level (preferred). - Advanced EXCEL. - Ability to lift up to 25 kgs (men) & 12.5 kgs (women) and to maneuver packages with more weight with appropriate equipment.
