About the Role At adidas, we're building a pool of talented professionals for future opportunities in Credit and Collections. Purpose and Relevance adidas Global Business Services (GBS) delivers high-quality financial services, including Finance and Accounting. Our new GBS center in Bogotá aims to serve region countries in various processes, with Credit and Collections playing a crucial role. Key Responsibilities - Establish a close relationship with customers, anticipating potential issues and resolving them proactively. - E nsure timely collection of receivables by working closely with customers and finance teams to resolve causes of non-payment. - Drive timely collection by following up on overdue invoices with customers, collection agencies, and end consumers. - Manage customer relationships, including problem resolution and root cause analysis, identifying and proposing solutions to area managers. - Assess and review credit risk on a regular basis, calculate required credit limits, and decide on the release of blocked orders. - Provide insights into accounts receivable development to sales and finance teams. - Act as the first point of contact for process-related issues and escalations. - Manage relationships with customer service and other stakeholders in the business. - Identify improvement opportunities and support their implementation. - Lead process and improvement-focused projects for Credit and Collections. - Support ongoing projects for technology solution implementation. - Ensure the lowest possible write-off for uncollectable balances. - Provide insights into calculation of required provision for uncollectable balances. - Support requests from partner Finance departments. - Establish and maintain strong financial controls over work performed. - Act as backup for Team Leader, supporting day-to-day team organization and task allocation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong Finance Acumen. - Experience in Shared Service environments or similar is a plus. - Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish in a business setting. - Closely attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Results-driven and self-motivated team player. - Curious and growth mindset; keen to learn and approach subjects outside of comfort zone. - Availability to travel for periods of 3-4 weeks. Requisite Education and Experience - 3-5 years relevant work experience in accounting/business areas. - Broad and deep theoretical understanding of job function. - Solid experience with SAP.
