**Requisition ID**: 209921 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech. **Purpose** **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Analyze and prepare monthly actuals against forecast projections with understanding and explanation of variances - Provide financial oversight and management of Cloud operating budgets and effective cost recovery - Responsible for financial reporting and creating insightful reports - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporate into in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Dimensions** - Responsible for financial reporting and creating insightful reports - Analyze monthly actuals of Private Cloud On-Prem and GCVE servers (nice to have) - Provide financial oversight and management of Cloud operating budgets and effective cost recovery - Monthly tracking of movement from Private Cloud On-Prem to GCVE - Define guardrails to optimize cost performance - Work with Cloud Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to optimize cost performance - Adhere to confidentiality and the Bank's risk appetite/culture in all day-to-day activities and decisions - Perform other ad hoc analyses and special projects as required - Proven experience managing executive-level conversations on the business value of cloud. **Education / Experience / Other Information** - Bachelor's degree in IT, finance/ecom, business or a related field or equivalent work experience - Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English B2 - Demonstrate an advanced proficiency in the use of MS Excel (e.g., macros, pivot tables) & MS PowerPoint. - Basic understanding of cloud-based platforms (Azure, GCP or AWS) (preferred) - Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills - Willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment - Innovative and ability to think outside the box for creative problem solving - Mentors and coaches colleagues and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement - Comfortable working in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams - Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines. **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
