**Requisition ID**: 211373 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech. **Purpose** **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Develop and deliver high-quality deliverables across all project phases, from requirements and design to post-implementation and production support. - Assist with planning and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing. - Ensure timely delivery of solutions within structured timeframes. - Identify and recommend enhancements to the core base product. - Provide technical expertise and ownership of technical solutions. - Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and colleagues, with a continual focus on customer success. - Participate in reviews and walkthroughs of project deliverables to ensure quality, high availability, integrity, and reliability. - Stay current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies, and understand the Division’s business and technology strategies. - Provide input and ideas to product owners and team members to solve complex business requirements. - Provide production and user acceptance testing support for complex technical problems, analysing issues, implementing solutions, and developing new support procedures. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporate into in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Education / Experience / Other Information** **_ Critical Requirements:_** - A degree in computer science, math, or an engineering-related discipline is desirable, along with at least 1 year of professional experience - Experience in the analysis, design, and development of Object-Oriented Programming (**OOP**) solutions - Ability to quickly and independently develop advanced knowledge of the Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features - ** Expected to learn** Pega development skills in an intense training program and become Pega CSA certified within 4 months of hire **_ Soft Skills:_** - Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to deliver proposals, provide user support, and interact with team members and other departments. - Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive dialogue with business partners, understand their underlying needs, and manage their expectations - Solid customer focus skills to discern underlying client needs and foresee opportunities to enhance service levels and increase solution scalability - Strong team focus with a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others, mentoring peers, and being open to giving and receiving constructive feedback. - Flexible and adaptable, open to learning new methodologies, tools, platforms, and systems such as Microsoft Power Platform - Creative and flexible in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding, and complex business environment - Ability to meet and manage tight and changing deadlines and priorities - Open-minded and able to make sound decisions without having all the facts **_ Hard Skills:_** - Experience with Pega Case Management and Workflow-related concepts and data is an asset - Agile project experience - Experience in **Java**,.NET, or MS **SQL** Server - B1 level of English **_ Competencies:_** - Highly analytical, with the ability to quickly understand how various elements relate to one another, having an end-to-end perspective of decisions and anticipating issues/roadblocks. **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
