**Requisition ID**: 212320 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech. **Job Purpose** Contributes to the overall success of the Quality Assurance | Service Management Technology (SMT) team under Global Engineering, Operations & Functions ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Key Accountabilities** - Execute, manage and co-ordinate testing for projects/releases which includes: - Design QAT test plans; create the test documentation (functions, testcases, scripts); balance the need to mitigate risk with the optimal use of testing resources while adhering to QAT policies, standards, and procedures. - Schedule and approve the release of projects into the QAT environment, execute the SIT (System Integration Testing) and defect management tracking. - Managing the UAT phase via executing complex test plans and overseeing the execution of UAT testing, coordinating resources, people and environments on a daily basis to meet the specific requirements for a project; manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting time and needs requirements; co-ordinate code delivery with external service providers. - Continually evaluate priorities for various projects in response to frequent directional changes and take decisive action as required. - Assess the results of QAT tests and take appropriate action; work closely with the development group to resolve defects; escalate issues to management when necessary; make recommendations to release the code to Production. - Obtain the test evidence and UAT sign off, proceed with the Release readiness and Change submission. - Maintain the overall regression test suites and Automation Testing suites to the latest and provide the testing plan for the assigned projects/releases to including the regression if necessary and Automation testing if applicable. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. - Responsible for the creation of test plans, test strategy, manual testing and automation testing. - Work with individual project teams, during the software development life cycle, to ensure business and technical requirements have been fulfilled; contribute recommendations and assessments to ongoing project reviews. - An active collaborator on the Agile project team, you are responsible for driving the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from the beginning to the completion of the projects. - Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Forecast workday estimates based upon project documentation; monitor resource demands and escalate resource shortfalls or conflicts as required. **Functional Competencies** - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes. - Proven work experience in software quality assurance. - Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. - Ability to adapt at working in both Agile and traditional Waterfall SDLC methodologies. - Experience with performance and/or security testing is preferred. - Nice to have knowledge on most of the following ServiceNow modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Hardware Asset Management; Configuration Management Database (CMDB); Software Asset Management (SAM) and Knowledge Management, Cloud Discovery and Optimization module and Vulnerability management. - Strong communication skills (verbal/written/presentation) skills. - Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills. ***: **_ Reporting Relationships _**: **Primary Manager**: **_ (include secondary Manager if applicable)_** - QA Test Manager, Scotia ServiceNow **Direct Reports**: n/a **Shared Reports (solid/dotted if applicable)**: **n/a**: **Education / Experience / Other Information** - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Sciences, or equivalent is desirable. - 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience as a QA Analyst performing manual testing and automation testing - English level (B2) Nice to have: - Certified System Administration (CSA) - Experience working in ServiceNow Modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Release, CMDB, HAM, SAM, Demand Service Catalog) Management _LI_-_Hybrid_ Location(s): Colombia :
