Job Title Service Desk Technician **Job Description**: Key job responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Provide escalated technical support to the Service Desk- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes- ork with team members and decision makers to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues- Design and deploy new technology solutions- Conduct research on technology solutions and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services- Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems- Develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging technology systems- Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the IT team- Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity plans- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports- Assist with company-wide technology deployments- Complete other job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications- Associates Degree or equivalent* in Information Technology or a related area- 1-3 years of related work experience- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Strong problem-solver- Self-motivated with a strong aptitude and desire to learn- Strong organization and interpersonal skills- Ability to collaborate with other team members- Sound knowledge of hardware and software- Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure- Excel at multi-tasking- May need to travel up to 50% of the time.- Complete assignments with a proper balance between quality and a commitment to deadlines- Must have the ability to maintain confidential information- Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related area- 3+ years of related work experience- Vendor certificates Physical Requirements: - Sitting- Standing- Walking- Climbing- Lifting up to 50+ pounds- Pulling- Pushing- Carrying- Grasping- Reaching- Bending- Crawling- Visual Acuity- Color Determination- Speaking- Listening- May drive a vehicle Location Bogotá, COL Employee Type Employee Job Functional Area IT Operations
