You will be working with an mmo game developer and publisher built around a collective of hackers and designers in pursuit of the next great paradigm shift in the video game industry. **responsibilities**: - create concept art and high-quality 2d assets for characters, vehicles and environments in a stylized anime aesthetic - create visual mockups to communicate game ideas - collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the artistic vision for various projects - provide constructive feedback to the art team and help them achieve their potential - participate actively in project planning and creative brainstorming sessions - be able to troubleshoot and solve artistic issues that arise during production **requirements**: - 8+ years of experience in the video game industry - proven experience as a 2d artist in the game industry, with demonstrated success in an anime aesthetic - proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as photoshop, illustrator, and after effects - strong knowledge of composition, color theory, and layout - demonstrated ability to create expressive, stylized characters and environments in an anime style - mastery of time management to adhere to schedules and deadlines - excellent written and verbal communication skills **nice to have**: - experience with unity or unreal engine - strong understanding of the game development process - experience with 3d modeling software (e.g., blender, maya) - experience in storyboarding - previous experience in a leadership position - degree from an art college - we’re an equal-op...
