What you will do As a Senior Data Engineer at Blankfactor, you will be a critical architect of our data ecosystem, responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that empower our data-driven decision-making process. Your deep expertise in Apache Airflow and Python will be instrumental in creating efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions that contribute to our success. **Responsibilities**: - Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Apache Airflow, ensuring smooth data flow and efficient scheduling of tasks.- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective ETL processes.- Implement best practices for data quality, data consistency, and data integrity within the pipelines.- Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.- Create and maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, ensuring easy understanding and seamless knowledge sharing across the team.- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues promptly to minimize disruptions and ensure data accuracy.- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering their professional growth.- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering, sharing insights and recommendations with the team. Requirements and technical skills- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Proven track record of +7 years as a Data Engineer, specializing in designing and implementing data pipelines.- Extensive experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating and scheduling data workflows.- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and building ETL processes.- Strong understanding of ETL principles, data warehousing concepts, and data integration best practices.- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services.- Knowledge of database systems and data storage solutions.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data engineering challenges.- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.- Prior experience in mentoring or leading junior team members is a plus.- Certifications in Apache Airflow, Python, or relevant cloud platforms are advantageous.
