This position also provides guidance to the Programmers and Machinists. **Essential functions** - Use Solidworks to create and revise parts and assemblies to provide detailed engineering drawings. - Manages new product development work in coordination with Management, Engineering, and Clients. - Creates manufacturing processes (internal and external). - Ensures manufacturability of products are achieved through efficient and cost effective methods. Programs new and existing products using Mastercam. - Designs fixtures to manufacture new and existing products. Ensures proper machine tooling is available. - Manages machining operations. Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in a reliable manner and calibrations are current as applicable. - Supervises and provides guidance to programmers and machinists to ensure work is performed in a safe and reliable manner. Ensures personnel have required training. - Ensures IMS, API procedures are implemented and followed. This includes the continual improvement process of review and guidance to resolve NCR’s and identify and implement required Corrective and Preventive Actions, as well as the development and revisions of required procedures and forms. Provides input and guidance to resolve product issues by working with Clients, Engineering, QC, and Production personnel. - Ensures production product routings, material issues, product test procedures, JSA’s are available and developed. Coordinates with Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel as required. - In coordination with other personnel, ensures 2M-Tek meets targeted Departmental Objectives and KPI’s. - Ensures manufactured products achieve reliability and positive customer satisfaction. - Adhere to Company policies and procedures. - Other duties and special projects as assigned. **Qualifications**: **Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities** - A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required - Should have at least 5 years of design/drafting related experience - Must be proficient in 3D CAD software; SolidWorks experience is preferred. - Knowledge of downhole and/or tubular running tools is preferred. - Possess knowledge of codes and standards in ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, DNV, and other industry standards is preferred. - Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks. - Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products. - Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors. - Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.
