Our Forensic Investigations & Intelligence practice consistently provides firms with the professional investigative consulting expertise necessary to resolve conflict through fact-finding and critical analysis. We have conducted thousands of investigations worldwide and have an unmatched track record of resolving disputes and working with in-house and outside counsel to successfully conduct and conclude internal or regulatory inquiries. Our experts help organizations with their critical fact finding when they need to conduct internal investigations or to examine allegations of wrongdoing. Whether or not actual misconduct is discovered, such inquiries, and their aftermath, can pose serious risks to companies and their stakeholders, damaging their reputation, disrupting their business operations and exposing them to government scrutiny, as well as to potential criminal, civil and regulatory liability. Our investigative services and expertise have helped clients successfully resolve investigations promptly and with mínimal business disruption. This role requires an imaginative and creative thinker with the ability to work to tight deadlines often balancing a significant and varied caseload. A key interest in business strategy, global events and markets, with an awareness of working across different cultural and political environments is essential due to the range of cases that will be handled across various industry-sectors. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: The Associate Manager, Forensic Investigations & Intelligence role will require the incumbent to have prior investigative skills, research and analysis and some management experience. Associate Managers will be focused on some of Kroll’s more complex and interesting matters and are expected to: - Handle a broad range of forensic intelligence and investigatory projects and cases, including complex casework such as asset searches and internal investigations - Conduct in depth research of commercial and open-source databases and provide clarity in report writing. - Take an active role in case management and oversight of projects and client-deliverables - Master public records databases and maintain a working knowledge of the strengths, appropriate uses and limitations of research tools and methods - Produce accurate, high quality client reports - Be efficient in their review and interpretation of budgeting - Contribute to the development of new opportunities and clients - Interface with and present interim findings to senior management - Oversee and review junior and senior Associates working on client deliverables and assist with training **REQUIREMENTS**: - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred - 4 - 5 years of relevant work experience as an investigator or writer with a recognized professional/financial services, investigative firm or similar - Investigative journalism or in-house investigation experience - Ability to read and interrogate large volumes of information and present oral and written summaries in a comprehensive and coherent manner - Enthusiasm for finding “the needle in a haystack” - Ability to drive forward and coordinate concurrent projects and tasks and managing competing demands - A highly professional and commercial approach to problem solving - Strong team, project and client management experience - Show and interest or development towards an investigative “niche” or specialty skill set - Flexible team player, with strong interpersonal skills - Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
