As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure behind our client's innovative platform. Your main responsibilities will include: - Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using a range of tools including AWS Redshift for data warehousing, AWS Lambda for event-driven API ingestion, Astronomer (Airflow) for orchestration and scheduling, DLT (Data Load Tool) for standardized load processes, and DBT for modeling and transforming data into tables and views. - Automate and monitor existing workflows to achieve self-healing, high-availability pipelines. - Ingest and integrate data from diverse customer sources, including paid media platforms, CRMs & Sales systems tied to ticketing and transaction data. - Implement observability best practices—data quality checks, alerting, and performance tuning—across all pipelines. - Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and marketing teams to ensure datasets are documented, accessible, and fit for purpose. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who possesses: - Excellent English proficiency, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, preferably building pipelines that integrate APIs and cloud services. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), especially Redshift, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch. - 3+ years of Python development experience, focused on scripting, orchestration, and API interactions. - Strong SQL skills, with the ability to perform data transformation, modeling, and performance optimization using relational or non-relational databases. - Proven experience building and maintaining REST API integrations for data ingestion. - Experience with Astronomer (Airflow) or an equivalent orchestration tool. - Familiarity with DLT and DBT is a plus. - Comfort working in distributed, cross-functional teams.
