About the Role We are looking for a top candidate to join our team full-time as an Integration Systems Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in integrating hardware and cloud technologies to optimize logistics with cutting-edge tech. Mission of Sizelabs Our mission is to revolutionize warehouse operations through AI-powered automation, enabling logistics companies to operate with greater efficiency, precision, and intelligence. Responsibilities 1. Hardware Integration (Edge): - Own and evolve Node.js-based on-premise proxies that interface with barcode readers, scales, cameras, and local file systems. - Handle serial communication, Modbus/TCP, FTP, and edge-specific resilience features (retries, local caching, offline fallback). - Optimize services for constrained CPU/memory environments and deploy using Docker. - Cloud Integration (APIs & Services): - Build and maintain connectors for third-party platforms like WMS systems. - Normalize data across formats and services, ensuring smooth interaction with Sizelabs' backend APIs. - Implement retry logic, observability, and diagnostics for cloud-to-cloud integration points. - System Design & Collaboration: - Define integration standards and document interfaces for hardware and cloud services. - Work closely with the Tech Lead and Backend team to align contracts and data flows. - Collaborate with QA and Product to validate and support deployments in production environments. Requirements We are looking for someone with the following skills: - Data normalization - Docker - FTP - Node.js - Redis - Serial communication - Ubuntu Language(s) Required We require proficiency in Spanish (native or fully fluent) and conversational English.
