Job Title Senior IT Systems Coordinator Key Responsibilities - Deliver first-class systems administration support to critical Corporate IT server platforms, network and applications. This role involves collaborating with technology domain experts required to maintain those environments. - Provide proactive review of processes and procedures to continually enhance service quality, service delivery and support. The incumbent will operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available operations environments. Essential Functions - Implement effective system/server security remediation ensuring up-to-date patch levels and conformity to the security standard. - Ensure the team meets all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and team objectives. - Maintain a strong commitment to execution, follow-through, and timely communication. - Execute decisive action to preserve and maintain service availability, performance, integrity, capacity, and security. - Monitor incident queues, troubleshoot issues, and lead conference calls with other groups to mitigate impacts. - Collaborate with Engineering teams across various platforms (Windows, UNIX/Linux, Network, Storage, Database, and Middleware) to translate application requirements into system requirements. - Develop good problem-solving skills focusing on troubleshooting issues in complex production environments. - Be willing to learn new technologies and software, thinking out of the box, questioning the norm, and innovative. - Work on-call rotation as expected. - Proficient in using tools for system and network monitoring. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Able to multitask and make decisions based on technical knowledge. - Experience working with offshore and globally distributed teams. Requirements - 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD). Desirable Qualifications - Experience and in-depth knowledge with network and Windows system administration activities. - Experience installing, configuring, and patching Windows Server operating systems on physical and virtual servers. - Implementing and maintaining system security policies. - Performing backups and disaster recovery procedures. - Advanced understanding of Cisco routing and switching. - Expert-level knowledge of switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, LACP, Spanning Tree). - Advanced level knowledge of Cisco VPN networking (Firepower, ASA, IPSEC). - Broad knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, WAN, LAN, and WLC-based wireless networking. - Working knowledge of SASE solutions. - Working knowledge of Arista switching. - Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, ideally Silver Peak. - Working knowledge of Cloud, Azure, and Hybrid computing. - Knowledge automation tools, ideally SolarWinds and Catalyst Center.
