**About the Role**: **Grade Level (for internal use)**: 09 **About the Role/The Team**: **The Team**: As a Rating Analyst you’ll be an individual contributor on the team working with Financial Institution issuers. You’ll be a team player who builds strong relationships with your issuers, as well as the team. Under direct management analyzes routine and some non-routine analytical or business problems as directed; develops own industry knowledge; identifies industry risk factors. **Responsibilities and Impact**: You’ll have a ton of exposure in your partnering with investors and issuers. This will include responding to questions and participating in meetings and on-site visits with debt issuers and their representatives in Colombia and Panama. Additionally, you’ll have great exposure internally, preparing materials for BRC Ratings a Company of S&P; Global publication, and participates in ad hoc projects. **Responsibilities**: Analyze the financial statements of the issuer companies of medium size and/or complex entities with support from the manager and senior analyst. Conduct surveillance of rated debt issues and issuers’ ratings, and may act as a primary analyst for less complex entities. Demonstrate an understanding of rating principals, a working knowledge of BRC S&P; Ratings criteria, and contributes to researching criteria development needs. Conduct the a nalysis of credit using BRC Ratings - S&P; Global’ s rating methodology and standards, Excel, financial models, financial data, and financial statement analysis. Maintains a centralized source of news information, including digital media, and carries out research for monitoring of the industry including examining corporate or municipal financial information. **What We’re Looking For**: **Basic Qualifications**: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related study of Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Postgraduate studies in a business-related field such as economics, business, or financial engineer ( and may be pursuing an advanced or business degree ) is preferred. At least 3 years of applicable work experience in market or credit risk analysis, FP&A; (Financial Planning & Analysis), Accounting, Investment, Accounting, Economics, or other related field. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools (particularly advanced Excel skills) are required. Must have strong communication (verbal and written) skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Familiarity with the market in Colombia is required. Must be detail oriented and organized. All resumes must be submitted in English for consideration.
