Job Purpose Manage a local risk-based Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) program in accordance with Dana's corporate policies and procedures. Develop annual EHSS business plans that identify functional activities, training, machine guarding, ergonomic, and other EHSS improvements, complete with action plans and target implementation dates. Job Duties and Responsibilities Identify historical loss experience and set statistical improvement goals for both short and long-term success. Foster an EHSS culture across all operations and at all levels of shop floor and management teams. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. Follow all corporate EHSS reporting protocols, including shared learnings. Develop, implement, and maintain a registered safety management system aligned with Dana's policies and ISO 45001 standards. Organize and conduct EHSS training as legally required and according to Dana's training matrix. Prepare for OSHA inspections and develop response programs to train personnel and establish an OSHA response team, in line with corporate policies. Create operational checklists to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements (29 CFR General Industry 1910 and subparts), covering areas such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, machine guarding, industrial hygiene, material handling, fire protection, PPE, electrical safety, record keeping, and other risk-based EHSS measures. Establish a site safety committee and provide training; facilitate reporting of EHSS concerns and ensure effective follow-up. Maintain the site-specific Emergency Response and Evacuation program, including periodic drills to evaluate effectiveness. Oversee the personal protective equipment (PPE) program, updating it as necessary based on risk and hazard analyses. Manage compliance with Dana's Contractor Safety program, ensuring contractors follow EHSS requirements and OSHA regulations. Lead property inspections and fire loss control activities as directed by Dana Risk Management Services. Develop and update compliance plans such as SPCC, hazardous waste contingency, and DOT security. Provide training and conduct inspections for compliance with SPCC, hazardous waste, universal waste, DOT, etc. Prepare and submit reports such as hazardous waste reports, PCB reports, EPCRA notifications, MSDS, Tier II, and Form R reports. Ensure compliance with Dana's environmental standards regarding air emissions and chlorinated solvent restrictions. Communicate the status of compliance, ISO14001 issues, and other environmental directives to the BU EHSS Leader. Maintain ISO14001 certification and participate in audits. Manage on-site remediation projects, including permitting, sampling, analysis, and reporting. Ensure compliance with the European end-of-life vehicle (ELV) directive. Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and consultants on environmental projects, ensuring conformance to Dana policies and regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
