Titleand Summary Manager, Risk Management-1 Overview The primaryresponsibility of the Manager, Risk Management, is to support theMastercard Customer Risk Management (CRM) team, including its riskmanagers and senior leaders, to manage Mastercard’s CRM functionglobally. This involves acting as the team’s liaison for newinitiatives (e.g., products, services, acquisitions) that mayimpact Mastercard’s risk exposure at a global level. Mastercard hasapproximately $77B in credit exposure to financial institutions andother counterparties worldwide. The CRM’s role is crucial as thecompany expands its services, products, and acquisitions. This roleoffers opportunities to engage with senior management, Mastercard’ssales, franchise, and product organizations, as well as ourcustomers (issuers, acquirers, etc.), providing a valuable platformfor career growth. Role The primary responsibilities includesupporting the CRM team to ensure customer risk is appropriatelyassessed, managed, and mitigated according to Mastercard’s policiesand risk appetite framework. Key duties include: 1. Participatingin the global product review process and acting as CRM’s liaisonfor new services, products, and M&A; activities impacting CRMglobally. 2. Ensuring projects consider credit risk and are alignedwith business objectives. 3. Establishing frameworks forintegrating new initiatives into the CRM team’s routine operations.4. Ensuring a smooth transition of new initiatives into the CRMteam’s business-as-usual (BAU) processes. 5. Collaborating withregional CRM VPs to align global and regional initiatives. 6.Project managing controls and enhancements to accommodate newinitiatives within CRM’s risk standards and Mastercard’s riskappetite. 7. Participating in process improvement initiatives andsharing best practices. 8. Proposing updates to policies andprocedures based on feedback from new initiatives. This rolerequires a strong credit risk background, a good understanding ofMastercard’s business model, systems, and tools, and proficiency inusing relevant data sources for customer risk management.
