Gerente de Ventas The Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating business, prospecting, and securing accounts on behalf of the hotel, aligned with the objectives and strategies outlined in the Annual Marketing Plan and in conjunction with WSO efforts. This position also involves soliciting and securing business from key sources within the travel industry. The Group Sales Manager ensures that sales activities focus on achieving the highest possible RevPar for the hotel's overall success. The role requires a high level of independent judgment and discretion in decision-making. Responsibilities: Identify and target clients that generate business for the hotel. Develop new and existing accounts. Negotiate, draft, generate, and confirm/sign contracts for group segments to meet hotel revenue goals. Utilize company programs, sales development, and client events; prepare reports for sales team development. Create and implement account plans for assigned markets to maximize revenue and meet objectives. Prioritize active selling, solicitation, and business development. Plan activities effectively and adhere to deadlines. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the property and its features, advantages, and benefits. Conduct site inspections to identify client needs and present solutions to maximize bookings and build strong client relationships. Use the sales tools provided by the company. Collaborate with catering, group, and sales managers for cross-selling opportunities. Participate in sales meetings, pipeline meetings, and leadership meetings as needed. Respond to and maintain effective communication with all potential and existing clients. Follow up on all pending and current business details. Track reservations during the sales process up to contract signing. Develop and execute quarterly and annual action plans. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct oneself in a mature, businesslike manner that represents the hotel and its philosophies. Problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail, quality monitoring, and obsessive service orientation. Ability to receive and share constructive criticism. Advanced reading, writing, and oral English skills. Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Opera, internet, etc. Professional degree, preferably in Marketing and Sales or related fields. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or related areas. Must have a valid work permit.
