You will oversee client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance while leading a team of designers and architects to create innovative, high-impact interior spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for managing interior architecture projects across various industries, ensuring seamless coordination between project teams, clients, and stakeholders. You must actively engage in all design phases, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills while balancing aesthetic, technical, and functional requirements. What You Will Do Lead and manage all phases of interior architecture projects, from conceptual design to project delivery. Oversee the development of interior architectural concepts, space planning, material selection, and detailing. Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to integrate interior elements with the overall building design. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans while ensuring alignment with client goals. Negotiate project scope, contracts, and fees with clients, consultants, and vendors. Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines, ensuring financial performance and cost efficiency. Oversee the production of design and construction documents, ensuring accuracy in interior detailing, finishes, millwork, and furnishings. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design intent and quality standards. Ensure adherence to building codes, accessibility standards, and interior design regulations. Facilitate team collaboration, ensuring coordination with MEP, lighting, acoustics, furniture, and material consultants. Provide technical guidance and creative solutions for interior architecture challenges. Assist in the preparation of proposals, contract negotiations, and project bidding processes. Track financial performance and provide recommendations for project efficiency. Promote sustainable and resilient interior design solutions, aligning with client sustainability goals. Your Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture (or foreign equivalent). Formal training or certification in project management is required. 10+ years of experience in interior architecture projects, preferably in large-scale, complex environments. 5+ years of experience in project management, including negotiating project scope and fees, budgeting, and managing schedules and timelines. Experience with the entire project lifecycle, from programming and concept development to construction completion. Strong expertise in space planning, interior detailing, materials, finishes, and FF&E specifications and technical coordination. Experience leading, managing, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams. Strong knowledge of interior building codes, standards, and best practices. Advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office. Excellent bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish), both written and verbal. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project for project management and financial tracking is highly desired Knowledge and expertise in managing business collaboration contracts, including consortiums, temporary joint ventures, and participation accounts. Strong skills in contract negotiation with consultants, insurance policy management, advance payments and their amortization, retainage handling, enforcement of applicable penalties as per contractual terms, negotiation of addenda to existing contracts, payment projections, and cash flow management. Strong client relationship-building skills with the ability to negotiate scope and fees. Ability to problem-solve creatively while ensuring technical precision in interior architecture projects.
