Job Overview As a Freight Forwarding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management of shipments within your assigned country. This position is dedicated to proactive customer engagement, serving as a bridge between customers and our network to enhance their experience. Key Responsibilities: 1. Respond to customers consistently and confidently by providing accurate information on shipment status, tracking, documentation requirements, transit time, and prices. 2. Develop ocean operational knowledge covering shipment creation, track and trace, and delivery at destination. 3. Enhance service quality by exercising professionalism and empathy when dealing with individual customer needs and demands. 4. Effectively communicate with colleagues, emphasizing urgency on behalf of the customer. 5. Meet all commitments to customers through follow-up communication. 6. Coordinate with operations for booking, scheduling, and pre-alerts, validating and sharing details with customers. 7. Resolve exceptions and send proactive updates to customers. 8. Process customer quotations and pass leads to the sales team. 9. Record and resolve customer complaints or assign tasks to other functions. 10. Stay updated on freight forwarding terms, especially Incoterms, to offer the best solutions to end customers. Requirements: - Professionals in industrial engineering, international business, or related fields. - Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, along with business skills. - Customer service and communication skills. - Teamwork and autonomy.
