Anthology’s Blackboard Data is a revolutionary solution that combines our knowledge of the data structures of our products with a wealth of experience and expertise in education, analytics and data science to provide products and solutions that answer the common questions and shared problems within education. These include student risk and retention, learning tool adoption and management of the student experience. This allows clients to save time by accessing insights across our SaaS EdTech tools in one place. Primary responsibilities will include: - Deeply researching and understanding the problems of our clients and being able to accurately and thoroughly articulate and document requirements which strive to solve the problems identified - Prioritizing requirements based on quantitative & qualitative evidence in a manner that best supports Anthology’s business goals - Assessing market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products, and identifying opportunities for competitive differentiation - Communicating to customers and internal stakeholders about the product itself, upcoming releases, and product roadmaps - Coordinating closely with other divisions of Anthology to ensure cohesive solutions and capabilities - Working closely with the senior product leadership team to inform the strategic direction and the Blackboard Data platform roadmap - Obtaining feedback from users, customers, sales, engineering, and other constituencies - Maintaining awareness of trends in education and technology, as well as competitive positioning - Maintaining deep involvement with P&L; product line decisions and collaborating with leadership on yearly planning - Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies - Required_ - _ - qualifications/skills:_ - Bachelor’s degree - A minimum of 2 years of software product management or related experience - An understanding of the academic lifecycle, ideally through experience of teaching, support, or administration in higher education - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendation - Familiar with or has a certain level of experience with analytics platforms, data modeling, and/or answering complex problems with data - Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, including building collaboration and consensus among diverse teams of peers, experts, and senior management - Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced, demanding environment - Demonstrated ability to effectively work through conflict to meet objectives and maintain strong relationships across teams with different work styles and personalities - Ability to effectively deal with a certain degree of ambiguity/autonomy and capable of making sound business decisions - Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills - Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above - Preferred qualifications/skills:_ - Advanced degree - Previous experience launching products - Experience with working with teams in an Agile or SAFe framework - Experience of using SQL and/or creating reporting with business intelligence tools - Background in analytics, data management and policy - SQL skills - Familiarity with Anthology’s Analytics portfolio or existing data solutions - Familiarity with the Education Analytics market - Familiarity with EdTech Standards (e.g., IMS Global) - Strong data visualization skills **The Office**: We have an office located in Bogota, Colombia as a hub for the LAC market. *** - Located in Capital Towers center in the financial district - Excellent and secure area to eat lunch, have a walk, or dine after office hours - Benefits in prepaid medicine, dental plan, and wellness allowance - Easy access to public transportation close to two important avenues, Carrera 7 and Calle 100 - Free parking for employees and paid parking for visitors - Multiple private spaces for virtual and face-to-face meetings - Regular events like bring your dog to work day and ping-pong, foosball, and Mario Kart tournaments - Sodexo card provided for employees - Daily budg
