Responsibilities Effectively and efficiently handle a caseload of over 100+ workers’ compensation cases Negotiate and resolve workers’ compensation cases promptly for top-dollar Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action Be able to appropriately communicate with clients Work with the Case Manager to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage Draft, review, and submit WC Forms to the Commission and other parties Represent Claimants in their hearings as scheduled by the SCWCC Thoroughly investigate each case, including but not limited to identifying and obtaining statements from witnesses, and obtaining surveillance video Work with the Case Manager, client, and Nurse Case Manager to ensure the client attends all scheduled doctor’s appointments Work with the Case Manager to coordinate necessary and reasonable IMEs, as needed Qualifications Ideal candidate has between 3 and 10 years of Workers' Compensation experience (Plaintiff or Defense) Must have tried multiple cases in front of the WCC Able to work independently while handling 100 - 125 cases Must be currently licensed to practice law in South Carolina Must excel in client communication and demonstrate strong leadership by effectively guiding staff and providing clear directives based on the needs of the individual case Though we have posted a salary range, we are always willing to discuss additional compensation for candidates with commensurate experience.
