Villa is currently the largest ADU builder in California and is growing rapidly into other housing products and geographies. **Role Overview** **What You'll Do**: - Develop and maintain scalable and efficient backend services, focusing on business analytics and operational improvements. - Champion domain-driven design principles and best practices within the team. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Lead the effort in optimizing existing backend systems for scalability and performance. - Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement. - Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in backend development and analytics. - Ensure high standards of security and data protection are maintained. **What You Have**: - Proven production-level experience in backend development, particularly in building scalable systems and APIs. - Strong understanding and practical experience with domain-driven design. - Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling. - Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data analytics methodologies. - Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and event based architectures. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Salary Ranges for this position are: California: $145,950 - $170,000 Colorado or Texas: $135,735 - $158,100 We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
