Real Estate Paralegal Job Opportunity Job Overview: The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing existing leases and documents, preparing schedules and exhibits, performing due diligence reviews, and drafting legal documents. Key Responsibilities: - Review existing leases and documents to identify exclusives, prohibited uses, and use restrictions. - Prepare schedules and exhibits for pad sales and anchor/big box lease transactions. - Perform due diligence reviews of leases and REAs. - Draft template REA and anchor lease amendments, purchase agreements, CC&Rs;, and other legal documents. - Manage critical dates and deadlines for anchor projects. - Obtain title information and manage property ownership inquiries. - Provide property-related legal information for due diligence needs. - Manage documentation for large transactions. - Handle escrow transactions, including monitoring and coordinating responsibilities, and preparing closing documents. - Prepare and/or review estoppel certificates under real estate attorney guidance. - Catalog development memos for shopping center malls. Requirements and Qualifications: - Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved school required. - Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. - 3+ years of law firm or in-house experience as a real estate paralegal with substantial title and survey expertise preferred. - Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, iManage, Workshare, and Redline.
