The Payments Lead will have an important role in our mission and growth as you will be in charge of developing the payments ecosystem in Colombia and manage our star-product, Transfiya. You will be working across regions, business areas, and functions. You’ll drive relationships, initiatives, related tasks, coordinate with cross-functional teams in order to fulfil the minka_ mission to enable money to flow. minka_ is actively looking to scale and grow beyond its existing markets. **How**: **Be a solver**: - Lead a team of high performing Payment Operations, mainly with the Transfiya team and future clients in Colombia - Ensure the team over time can process across multiple time zones to meet our client's needs - Develop a culture of performance management, improvement and development as a foundation for excellent organisational performance **Be an owner**: - Shape minka's payment strategy and build a world-class undertaking based on operational and growth focuses - Scale our payment operations capacity through automation, not headcount - Optimise minka’s existing payment processes together with the tech and product team - Ensure that we can handle new products seamlessly from a efficient perspective and that a solid operating model has been designed - Work in close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Operations Managers and other stakeholders across the business to prioritise projects and improvements **Write it down**: - Develop and execute projects with partners to help them and us grow our business - Participate and actively contribute to payments landscape analysis to ensure minka_ can quickly adapt to new trends and changes - Research, develop, and lead go-to-market strategies - Ensure we all have full visibility and control of our payment processing and can measure the performance of each component - Ensure that our transaction processes are done accurately and efficiently and meets all external and internal requirements - Track our defined KPIs and ensure these are consistently met and reported against **Required skills**: - Bachelors, Masters University Degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, or related fields - At least 7 years of experience working in business development, consulting, project management roles. Experience in startups, fintechs or SaaS companies will be a plus - Proven experience with key stakeholders from the payments ecosystem - You have a payments background and a solid understanding of the payments infrastructure and the players within it - You have experience running payments strategy and operations in a scale-up/fast-growing environment and deal well with ambiguity and change - You have a track record of scaling and optimising processes through automation. You have a good technical understanding and are able to work with Engineers and Product Managers to drive improvements - You make data-driven decisions and understand the balance between business, system and operational requirements - You have a hands-on approach and are not afraid of getting involved in the details when required - Passionate about client and new allies management, from a business development, account management and growth perspective - Excellent attention to detail with analytical, verbal, and written communication skills - Ability to manage simultaneous complex projects, quickly adapting to changes and reorganizing workflow - Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently, additional languages are a plus **Preferred skills**: - Know what is a bit and what is bitcoin - Teamwork and ability to cooperate with peers towards a bigger objective - Passionate about technology and about improving financial services - _ Seen Mr. Robot TV Show_ and read Bitcoin Standard
