Role: You will be part of a growing team of Sustainable Finance analysts working on the application of sustainability/ESG methodology and research. Functional Responsibilities: 1. Track and analyse issuer’s most material sustainability factors, and their implications in the context of its sector/ industry. 2. Work on second party opinion providing assessment of whether the transaction aligns with certain third-party published sustainable finance principles and guidelines. 3. Assess an entity’s economic activities, its planned transition changes and efficacy of its plans/targets, and analyse it against net zero, climate transition objectives for a low carbon, climate resilient future. 4. Assess ESG risks faced by industries and evaluate performance along the key benchmarks for companies globally. 5. Search, procure and process information about global companies using multiple methods, techniques, and sources. 6. Support on ESG thought leadership research and/or articles. Process Adherence: 1. Monitoring quality and productivity metrics to ensure continuous improvements. 2. Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organization. 3. Adopt the defined processes in day-to-day execution of assignments. 4. Identify process improvement avenues. Client Management / Stakeholder Management: 1. Build and maintain relationships with team. 2. Set expectations with clients regarding scope of work, timelines for routine tasks. Candidate Profile: 1. Few years of experience in working on ESG research, climate and/or sustainability related roles or projects. 2. Excellent communication skills and client relationship skills. 3. Attention to detail, ability to stretch and learn, high analytical rigor. 4. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines. 5. Ability to work independently and be resourceful, gathering information from various internal and external sources to summarise trends and themes. 6. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset. 7. Ability to work on Excel to use data from databases with charting, pivot tables and other formulas, such as lookup functions and logical tests.
