Purpose of the job Lead local procurement function inthe market and manage direct reports acting as a leader and a pointof reference. Leverage business acumen to provide strategicthinking to assure, protect margins and create value to PMI.Provide overall strategic guidance and direction for the teamassigned, leading and developing an adaptable and agile Procurementorganization to deliver optimum mix 'productavailability-quality-service level-price. Accountabilities 1. Meetregularly with senior stakeholders to achieve early involvement inBusiness’ strategy definition to influence key decisions andimprove resource allocations. Translate Business requirements intoactionable plans. 2. Align local sourcing plans with regional plansaccording to Cluster direction and influence internal stakeholdersto deploy global or regional initiatives locally. 3. Master complexnegotiation to drive business needs and proactively build levers.Coordinate and steer critical negotiations and lead complex ones.Anticipate results and align with stakeholders on possiblenegotiation outcomes. 4. Provide visibility during budgetingprocess in close alignment with budget owners (MD—1) and Financeproviding market insights like inflation and drive valueinitiatives that protect local affiliate Margins. 5. Fornon-critical services or goods, correctly balance the usage ofcustomized contractual frameworks versus Purchase Orders to meetCompany objectives of speed and time-to-market. 6. Encourage a Leanway of working and ensure effective transfer of non-coreprocurement sourcing processes to SSC (if applicable) or/andeffective deployment of Regional/Global Procurement Models. 7.Manage effectively remote teams and successfully leverageProcurement operations centers. 8. Review the Affiliate’s businessproposals for consistency with laws and company policies.Participate on project teams, ensuring that their decisions andrecommendations protect the legal interests of the company, andexecute decisions to achieve objectives on a timely basis.Education SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES College/University, Highereducation in business administration / economics / trade.University degree in Engineering, Business Administration orEconomics. 1. Diploma from a recognized Procurement Institute is anasset. 2. MBA degree or equivalent is a plus. Work Experience 1.For complex markets at least 7 years of experience inProcurement/Supply Chain/ commercial functions and familiar withmarket regulatory environments. 2. Excellent analytical skills andcommunication skills. 3. Project management skills. 4. Excellentnegotiation and influencing skills at all levels are essential. 5.Great understanding of how matrix organization works and ability toestablish a network across the organizations. 6.
