You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy, compliance, and optimizing financial processes using advanced tools and automation. Your expertise will contribute to the strategic financial growth of SMB clients while ensuring efficiency in operations. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management Prepare periodic financial statements, including month-end and year-end close processes, with supporting work papers. Maintain accurate and GAAP-compliant general ledger accounts, ensuring timely reconciliations and journal entries. Review and analyze financial reports to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance. Advanced Financial Analysis Develop and analyze financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic decision-making. Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities, offering actionable insights to leadership and clients. Create and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and variance analyses tailored to client needs, leveraging Google Sheets and AI tools. Client Advisory & Process Improvement Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high-quality outsourced accounting services. Collaborate with leadership teams to align accounting practices with business goals, optimizing cash flow, budgets, and resources. Evaluate current workflows and implement automated solutions using AI tools and advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities. Technology Integration & Optimization Lead the integration of accounting systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency for growing SMBs. Optimize financial processes by implementing automation tools to streamline data entry, reporting, and analysis. Maintain and enhance financial systems to provide real-time visibility into financial health. Strategic Partnering & Compliance Support strategic initiatives such as cost optimization, resource allocation, and financial planning. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards, including GAAP. Assist in the preparation and documentation of audit-ready financial statements when required. Requirements Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of consecutive public accounting experience at a public accounting firm (NON-NEGOTIABLE). Proven track record of supporting SMBs, with expertise in financial reporting and analysis. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including automation and data analysis tools (e.g., pivot tables, macros). Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline financial processes and improve decision-making. Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex financial data for diverse stakeholders.
