Mission: New American Funding is seeking a DevOps Engineer with generalized development experience, preferably in .Net Core, Docker containerization (including Dockerfiles, compose files), and Linux familiarity; ADO experience is a plus. Kubernetes experience, including Deployments, Helm, Kustomize, and Istio (mesh and Gateway API), is also desirable. As a senior role, this person will be a quick adopter and a key contributor to the team. They will work efficiently with little to no guidance, making decisions and providing innovative solutions to ambiguous problems. They should have a strong ability to see the big picture, produce long-term solutions, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and QA to design, develop, and implement high-quality DevOps solutions that meet customer needs. While the primary focus is DevOps, understanding or writing code would be beneficial. Responsibilities: Design and develop build and deployment pipelines and relevant templates for software applications using Azure Cloud technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform microservice architecture, including Event Grids, Service Buses, Functions, and App Services. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented pipelines, applying IaC best practices, templating, and configuration. Develop and maintain software and pipeline documentation, including design diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation linking application design to Azure assets. Assist in containerizing software assets with Docker. Collaborate with Networking and Cloud Infrastructure teams to set up and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including Argo registration, Headlamp, Istio, and Helm. Support software development processes to adhere to Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices. Assist in debugging and troubleshooting production issues, identifying monitoring and escalation opportunities. Participate in Scrum ceremonies, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in DevOps and CI/CD, continuously improving technical skills. Mentor and train junior DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support. Qualifications: Strong experience in DevOps or software development, focusing on scalable, high-quality applications. Programming skills in C#, .NET Core, and Microsoft SQL. Experience with Docker and containerization. Experience with Kubernetes. Experience with Azure Cloud or other cloud providers. Experience with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL technologies is a plus. Experience with message-based architectures is a plus. Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. Experience with IaC, templating, and scripting is a plus. Familiarity with SDL practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Strong English skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
