The Portfolio Manager Operations oversees theadministration of insurance and/or reinsurance accounts andcontracts, from establishing and maintaining contractual data,processing the insurance and/or reinsurance account bookings,claims handling and manage the related cash flow. He/she alsosupports the underwriters in administrative activities related tothe underwriting process. Key duties and responsibilities -Responsible for entries (treaties and/or facultative) in the Accounting and Underwriting system/platforms and all furthermodifications - Enter T&C; (Terms and Conditions) into theaccounting system with accuracy. - Check contractual T&C; (Termsand Conditions), submit them to Underwriters for signature and drawtheir attention in case of ambiguities or changes. - Check andprocess accounts and claims advices. - Clarify discrepancies ofaccounts and claims with underwriters/ claim experts/cedents/brokers. - Manage independently his/her own portfolio ofaccounts. - Resolve problems following prescribed guidelines orprocedures. - Proactively seeks advice for new issues and suggestsolutions. - Manage cashflow including setting-up of client bankaccounts in the accounting system, processing of outgoing/incomingpayments and follow up on pending payments and open balances. -Perform ICS controls (Internal Control System) according torelevant guidelines and pro-actively support Underwriters in theperformance of these controls. - Monitor client accounts/statisticsby using internal reports, perform data analysis and support Stakeholders with reports and statistics. - Ensure compliance withsanctions and embargos by scanning respective lists and forward to Underwriter/Legal for further investigation if needed. - Ensurecompleteness and proper filing of underwriting, accounting andclaims documentation DMS (Document Management System). - Maintaingood communication with clients by attending internal and externalmeetings and workshops as required. - Be accountable for internaland external audit purposes. Required experience & competencies Experience: - At least 2 years of experience in the industry(re-/insurance) accounting and underwriting assistance and/orcontrolling. - Advanced MS Office skills (focus on MS Excel, PowerQuery). - Business Object skills beneficial. Personal Competences: - Good insurance and reinsurance knowledge and eagerness to deepenexpertise. - Advanced analytical skills and accuracy. - Advancedcommunication and team collaboration skills with both internal andexternal stakeholders and team members. - Sense of reliability andresponsibility. - Self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability tochanges. Required Education Bachelor / completed commercialapprenticeship (ideally in re-/insurance company) or equivalent.
