We are searching the best talent for **Payroll Senior Manager** to be in **São José dos Campos** **Purpose**: The Regional Payroll Lead role is responsible for leading the payroll function (including time & attendance) for the LATAM region. This entails being accountable for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of each country’s payroll in the region, developing strategies to improve and sustain the effectiveness of payroll operations, and managing all escalations, conflicts, risks and mitigations related to payroll processing and time & attendance in the region. This role has significant decision rights and is expected to provide leadership, strategic advice, and oversight to the payroll function. This role will be the primary contact for senior leadership within the region (Finance, HR, etc.) and third-party payroll providers on all matters related to payroll and time & attendance. The payroll function in LATAM will be divided into clusters, and the cluster leads will report into the Regional Payroll Lead. The Regional Payroll Lead is expected to oversee all payroll resources in the region and to provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to support a high-performance team environment. While the cluster leads will be responsible for managing day-to-day payroll processing, the Regional Payroll Lead is accountable for the overall function and will be responsible for developing sustainable strategies, processes, and teams to manage payroll processing. The Regional Payroll Lead will report into the Global Payroll Senior Director role. This job will support customers in all time zones across LATAM, so flexibility in work schedule is required to be successful in this role. **Key Responsibilities**: - Develops strategies that enable the payroll function to process payroll accurately, compliantly, and on-time, while also driving efficient and effective vendor strategies. - Oversees cluster payroll operations teams and provides strategic guidance and direction to those teams - Creates and uses metrics to benchmark performance and improve processes/team productivity - Manages the inflow of projects for payroll; sets the agenda on strategic priorities and resource allocation - Serves as the most senior regional contact point for Payroll and Time & Attendance providers in the region - Works cross-functionally with all upstream and downstream stakeholders (HR, Benefits, Finance, etc.) on all matters related to payroll and time & attendance - Provides oversight for audits (internal / external) - Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities - Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders. Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks on a timely basis - Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings - Provides coaching and mentorship to payroll resources in region to support a high-performance team environment. Sets annual goals and develops effective career and development paths. Encourages continuous learning. Recruits and hires staff, as appropriate. - Partners with Country and Global leadership to identify Payroll and Time & Attendance opportunities (project and operational). - Drives Payroll policy and procedure harmonization in each Country within the region. - Partners with other regional payroll leaders to ensure learnings from one region are shared with all regions. **Qualifications** - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required - A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in leading payroll processing operations is required - Strong knowledge of payroll processing in LATAM is required (processes, regulations, vendor landscape, etc.) - Strong strategic, transformational thinking and decision making is required
