Titleand Summary Senior Accountant, Accounting Overview: The SeniorAccountant, Accounting reports to the VP, Accounting –Controllership Integration and supports the CorporateControllership team located in Purchase, NY. This role supportsstrategically important and recently acquired Mastercardbusinesses, focusing on integration activities to ensure financialsystems, controls, and accounting practices are harmonized withcompany policies. The Senior Accountant collaborates withstakeholders across Corporate Controllership, Finance, BusinessUnits, Regional Controllership, and Global Business SharedServices. The ideal candidate will bring accounting expertise,strategic thinking, and project management skills to driveeffective integration. Role: 1. Support the integrity and accuracyof financials for acquisitions, ensuring compliance with policiesand external and corporate accounting standards. 2. Assist withmonthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reporting, includingvariance analysis and executive presentations. 3. Review financialreporting processes periodically to mitigate operational risksbased on business process evolution. 4. Manage intercompanyarrangements in collaboration with GBSC and Tax, as needed. 5. Address accounting matters related to business transactions,including revenue recognition, software capitalization, andimpairment reviews. 6. Implement automated solutions to streamlineaccounting processes. 7. Ensure adherence to Mastercard accountingpolicies and SOX compliance as applicable. 8. Track projecttimelines and deliverables, escalate risks or issues to leadership.9. Support the transition and ongoing financial questions duringintegration. 10. Collaborate with business unit finance partnersand other finance functions during integration. 11. Engage withinternal and external stakeholders, including executives, businesspartners, regional controllers, and GBSC. All About You: - Fluentin English. - Degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certificationrequired. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP. - Analytical skills withexperience in reviewing and analyzing accounting treatments. -Self-starter comfortable working in ambiguity and solving problems. - Excellent project management, analytical, and financial skills. -Effective presentation and communication skills. - Ability toproactively build relationships with business partners. -Experience in implementing controls and evaluating theireffectiveness. - Proficient in Microsoft Office; Hyperion &Oracle; experience a plus.
