Job Summary: This is a leadership role that oversees contract compliance audits of cost plus construction contracts for industrial facility development and construction. Responsibilities include auditing both completed projects and ongoing projects. The position draws on various skills developed throughout one's career, including knowledge and experience in construction (audit, project controls and/or estimating), accounting (financial and cost), audit, and data mining. Additionally, strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are necessary to be successful. Requirements: 1. An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field is required. 2. Two to three years of audit experience (internal, compliance, operational) is required. 3. Construction, project controls, or estimating experience or similar industry experience is required. 4. Strong data skills/aptitude are required, with intermediate to advanced experience using Excel and/or Access to manipulate large datasets and provide analytical results. 5. Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including cost accounting and allocations, overhead, manufacturing costs, general ledger, and financial statements. 6. Financial business acumen, with exposure to payroll; insurance; employee benefits; internal controls; common business practices, and contract language. 7. Background in understanding and assessing operational processes and internal controls, identifying breakdowns, and defining practical recommendations for improvement. 8. Excellent business report writing skills. 9. Procurement and/or contracts experience is beneficial. Personal Attributes: 1. Excellent English speaking and writing skills. 2.
