About Your Business Area/Department: Amadeus is at the forefront of improving traveler experience. The Airport Companion App is a major contributor to this improvement. It provides a mobile solution for roaming agents at the airport. Agents equipped with mobile devices (such as iPads) can serve the travelers wherever they are in the airport, reducing the need to use physical desks. Initially designed for iPad (Apple) users only, we have just started an exciting transformation to support more devices and platforms (e.g., Android) and increase adoption among our airline customers.
Summary of the role: We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our talented team in charge of building this app, based in the Bogota office. You will work alongside QA experts and software development engineers, business analysts and UX, using agile methodology (SAFE), you will work in a multicultural environment with colleagues based across the world in Dallas and London. The role involves ensuring the quality of deliverables from the integration test phase to deployment in production. This includes manual testing and creates functional automation for mobile applications end-to-end test during development, UAT and Production phases. In this role you’ll: Participate in specification reviews to provide input on testability requirements. Be responsible for quality control for individual iteration deliveries. Testing manually and automated in several phases such as development, user acceptance test (UAT) and production (PDR). Create automated test cases using tools and frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Appium and Cucumber. Coordinate and execute test campaigns, review results, and support prioritization of issues. Maintain documentation of test results and recommend corrective actions. About the ideal candidate: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Computer Science. Proven experience in automation testing in an agile environment. Expertise in automation testing tools like WebdriverIO, Appium and Cucumber. Good knowledge of software quality assurance. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
