Requirements: Expertise in Astro: Core framework used across the majority of our projects (90%+). Prior Astro experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Static Site Generation (SSG) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) is required. Proficient in Next.js: Experience with routing, API routes, and Next.js data-fetching strategies (e.g., getStaticProps, getServerSideProps) is important, even if Astro is the main stack. Tailwind CSS: All styling is done with Tailwind; familiarity with utility-first CSS workflows is essential. Ability to work with Contentful's content modeling, editor interface, and API. A lack of experience here can slow onboarding. Demonstrated ability to improve load times, reduce bundle size, and optimize Core Web Vitals. SEO knowledge: Understanding of on-page and technical SEO, particularly as it relates to modern JS frameworks. Code review & collaboration: Comfortable contributing to and receiving feedback in team-based code review processes. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience working with AWS services (e.g., S3, CloudFront, Lambda). Exposure to internationalization/localization workflows. Understanding of web accessibility standards. Experience collaborating across multiple teams or stakeholders.
