ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a passionate and experienced PYP Primary Self-Contained Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Studies, English, Math, and Science to primary students under the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. This role requires an educator who fosters a love for learning, promotes inquiry-based instruction, and nurtures student curiosity and creativity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered, and inquiry-based lessons in Social Studies, English, Math, and Science. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote academic growth. Implement PYP principles to encourage critical thinking, international-mindedness, and interdisciplinary connections. Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters collaboration, respect, and active participation. Use a variety of teaching strategies and technological tools to enhance student learning and engagement. Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments , providing timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues to develop transdisciplinary units that align with the IB curriculum. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Participate in professional development to stay updated with IB best practices and educational innovations. MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching primary education, preferably in an IB school. Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Fluency in English (C1 level or higher). Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the IB PYP framework . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, colleagues, and parents effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and multicultural environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation in teaching practices. DESIRED BUT NOT EXCLUDING REQUIREMENTS: Certification in IB PYP training or previous experience in an IB Continuum School. Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies. Background in STEM education or transdisciplinary approaches.
