This is a permanent position to work in our Cartago site, located in Zona Franca La Lima. Job Function Summary: The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for initiating, leading and following-up improvements related to production and administrative processes by utilizing lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques. Major Areas of Accountability: - Collaborate with the Value Stream Manager on continuous improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. - Lead the initiation, implementation and follow-up on continuous improvement projects. - Host Kaizen improvement events, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous improvement activities. - Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices. - Assist in setting annual operational targets and drive improvements to achieve those targets. Responsibilities: - Perform their job in compliance with the guidelines given. - Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines. - Support the positive EHS culture. Essential Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineer, Materials, Electromechanical, Administration or related. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Power BI, Power App. Preferred Qualifications: - Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus. - Experience in the medical device industry is a plus. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions. - Efficient and effective in time, quality, and cost management. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
