The role (Hybrid Position) As part of our development team, the Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. This role involves working in a collaborative hybrid environment with a distributed team, including leads based in Australia and a local team in Bogotá. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical foundation, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills to manage end-to-end feature delivery in a microservices-based architecture. What we are looking for: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced developer with strong leadership potential to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a global engineering organization and work closely with international stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable software components. - Collaborate with international managers and local engineering teams to define requirements and technical solutions. - Own features from conception to deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability. - Apply SOLID principles and architectural best practices to ensure clean, modular codebases. - Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to improving infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. - Communicate effectively across time zones and contribute to a positive and productive team culture. - Continuously learn and adapt, with a willingness to upskill in Ruby on Rails if not already proficient. Qualifications: - Proven experience in backend and frontend development, ideally with exposure to Ruby on Rails or the ability to learn it quickly. - Strong skills in Next.js or TypeScript. - Solid experience working in microservices-based architecture. - Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD practices. - Strong understanding and application of SOLID principles. - Experience in designing large-scale systems and delivering features independently. - Fluent in English (B2+ level); excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Autonomous, proactive, and collaborative team player.
