Title and Summary Analyst, Risk Management - Overview: Mastercard has approximately $68B in credit exposure to financial institutions and other counterparties worldwide. This makes the CRM role a key part of its evolving and rapidly growing business model. The strategic importance of this exposure requires regular engagement with senior management, Mastercard’s sales, franchise, and product organizations, as well as our customers (issuers, acquirers, etc.). This role offers great opportunities to learn and grow your career within Mastercard. Role: Monitor 24x7 global customer exposures to prevent losses by adequately managing CEM volumes according to existing and new procedures. Promptly inform risk managers, Directors, or VPs of urgent issues such as bankruptcies, insolvencies, or negative news. Follow escalation procedures and precedents. Coordinate with account managers and customers on open settlement positions to determine if issues are genuine or reconciliation-related. Participate in process improvement initiatives and share best practices. Conduct ad hoc analytics and collaborate with data analysts to seek automation for recurrent requests. Assist in preparing CRM-related reports for external and internal purposes (SEC filings, audit committees, etc.). Propose process enhancements and automation opportunities. All About You: Preferably hold a graduate/postgraduate degree in business, economics, econometrics, or similar. Experience in credit risk assessment and/or financial statement analysis is a plus. Demonstrate accuracy, self-drive, accountability, and a sense of urgency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good sense of humor. Willingness to work in shifts.
